so, we got an external hard drive and want to back up our computer files. it's proving to be way more confusing than it should be. shouldn't it just be a matter of dragging & dropping?

we have a macbook pro & a lacie 1 terrabyte hard drive, if it matters any. save my sanity, anyone?

we're having a holiday party at work on monday. not my favorite thing, because i'm a scrooge :), but i can handle it. it will give me an excuse to play with our brand new fancy schamntzy mixer. so, i'm looking for cookie or other dessert recipes (nothing too complex, please!)

I have a document I want to host online and share. I thought I'd read/heard something about "google documents", but my search has not turned up anything. I know the obvious choice is to host my own website, but I'm not going that route yet.

Flickr and Photobucket only host photos and videos. Any suggestions out there?

i just finished reading a book i chose at random from the library: The curious incident of the dog in the night-time. i really enjoyed it, actually, and i recommend it. it's written in the voice of an autistic 15-year-old boy, and i particularly loved reading his take on society, strangers, etc. perhaps it's because i can definitely be socially ( Read more... )

we went to our friends' annual july 4th BBQ/party yesterday, and it was really good to see everyone. my hula hoops were a hit with the kiddies, as usual. and i elaborated on my beer biscuit recipe (which someone i know veganized and spiffed up, here) by adding herbs to the mix. the rosemary and thyme definitely worked well in it ( Read more... )
